Well, I have been in the same situation as you and I have done some investigations into this. Here I want to share with you a time efficient way to get points. In other words, make the most points out of your limited time.
Below are some tables with points earned per second for each work station in the game. So assuming you have all the raw materials ready then running each workstation to produce the items with the highest points/sec will help you gain maximum in an efficient way and will help you set the priorities. [Keep in mind the below points per second list is without any upgrades on the station. But the points per second ranking should stay the same even after the upgrades]
Also you can use these to run chains such as making Flour at the Windmill and then using this flour to produce Apple Pie at the Pastry Oven. If you are struggling with storage, here this post is a method to manage your barn and silo.
